Not Your Daddy’s Soccer League - Calgary Minor Soccer Association

Calgary Minor Soccer Association (CMSA) is one of Goalline’s largest soccer associations, with a mission to make “Calgary Soccer the premier sport” in Alberta. That’s no easy task given the Alberta weather where hockey is king. However you may be surprised to know that CMSA is an organization that takes its mission statement seriously, playing soccer year-round, and hosting tournaments, events, training and certification throughout those chilly winter days in Calgary.

Starting January 5^th, for example, CMSA invites all Calgary soccer fans to attend the CMSA Tiers I, II &III Tournament presented by, “The Hotels of Calgary South Group” for Boys and Girls U12 - U18. The competition features an impressive 109 Boys and Girls teams aged 11-18 in an exciting event to kick off the New Year, and keeps soccer front and centre in Calgary minor sports circles.



“CMSA is one our most active and exciting sports organizations,” notes Goalline’s Director of Marketing Luke Naylor. “The effort they put into their site, and the manner in which they leverage the functionality and benefits of the Goalline system are tremendous, not to mention just what a great assocation they are in promoting the sport of soccer.”

And while one might think that a January soccer event in the middle of a cold Albertan winter is just a one-off; registration is now open for an Indoor Family Day Tournament in late February. Some of us who do not have access to great indoor soccer facilities and such a great association such as CMSA can only imagine how much fun it would be to boot a soccer ball around with our kids in shorts in the middle of February! Great work and keeping it going strong CMSA!
